Our Story

A warmer way into the first career door.

Entrnt began with a simple frustration: talented students should not have to cold-apply into silence or ask strangers for rushed referrals. We are building a warmer path from campus to career, starting with Rutgers students and alumni.

Why we’re building Entrnt

Student first

We are building Entrnt because the early-career process feels backwards. Students often start with applications, then try to find someone to refer them after the fact. By then, the conversation can feel rushed, transactional, and uncomfortable for both sides.

Entrnt flips that order. We want students to build real alumni relationships first, understand what makes them referral-ready, and approach opportunities with stronger context, stronger resumes, and warmer support.

We are starting at Rutgers because state-school students are ambitious, capable, and connected to a huge alumni base, but the path from student to alum to opportunity is still too cold. Entrnt is our attempt to make that path feel more human, more structured, and more outcome-driven.

What we’ve achieved

Summer 2026 NSF I-Corps cohort
01

Customer discovery started

We are using interviews with students, alumni, and career stakeholders to understand where the referral process breaks down and what kind of support actually helps students move forward.

02

Rutgers-first pilot shaped

The first version is intentionally narrow: Rutgers students, Rutgers alumni, and internships or early-career roles, with big tech as the first focus before expanding outward.

03

Referral-readiness model drafted

We are designing Entrnt around a referral-readiness workflow: student profiles, alumni conversations, resume feedback, application tracking, and referrals only when there is genuine fit.

Timeline

Where this is going
Now

Build the Rutgers pilot

We are collecting student signups, alumni volunteers, and feedback on the referral-readiness process before turning the pilot into a full private portal.

Next

Run warm alumni matching

Students will be matched with alumni for warm conversations, resume reviews, project feedback, and practical advice before any referral request happens.

Pilot

Track real outcomes

The pilot will track what matters: alumni chats, resume reviews, referrals, online assessments, interviews, offers, and the steps that helped students get there.

Later

Expand to more state schools

If the Rutgers pilot works, Entrnt can expand to other New Jersey state schools and eventually to public universities where students need warmer access to alumni networks.

Help us build the first warm referral path.

Students can join the Rutgers pilot. Alumni can help review, mentor, and open doors when there is real fit. Entrnt is starting small so the network stays trusted.
